Asset Management

  • Asset management differs from project management as it is not a start to end date to a capital cost, AM is a service to obtain the value of and asset and to achieve a start to end date of the life of that asset.
  • Asset management is about achieving the right outcome (capital resources will be delivered on a life cycle cost).
    An asset is part of a larger portfolio of the owner of that asset. Managing an asset is about removing the risk of engineering and being able to apply to value extraction.
  • Project management is about time / cost / quality. Asset management is about maintaining the asset with no end date in site as there is no end date. Asset Management is about studying the asset and ensuring it reaches its potential and the growth capital of it.
  • Project management can suffer as it is not focused beyond the end date of the installation of the asset. Project Management has to second guess what is being built whilst beyond the concept and do not receive the level of input resulting in putting the asset into service and the ongoing maintenance of the asset being installed.
  • We will provide  strategic infrastructure and develop a procedure to manage the asset through regular service and maintenance for the asset to reach its desire life expectancy.
  • Asset disposal side will also be accounted for
  • We can offer the tools to develop an asset maintenance register and interface with the financial implications if the asset does not meet the desired outcome for the owner or those maintaining it.
  • We will remove the focus on CAPEX (Capital Expenditure) with our focus on OPEX (Operational Expenditure). We will offer a demand management service by a holistic approach in relation to financials apposed to the assets and integrating both.
